Home                            14 MIN

HomeA homeless man must overcome the demons in his head to find his way home. When you walk past a homeless person on the street, do you look the other way? Does their confusion, their pain, their failure make you uncomfortable? We often have pre-conceived notions of why someone ends up on the street. There is just so much we do not understand. Step into the mind of this homeless man – see and hear the world through his point of view. This story captures the universal complexity of all humans and takes the audience on a journey of twists and turns, finally landing in a completely unexpected place. This movie will make you stop and take a hard look the next time you pass a homeless person on the street – nothing is ever quite what it seems.

Ocean Pond                 24 MIN

OceanPond_embed_newAt the end of the Civil War Battle of Olustee, black Union soldier James Foster is unable to retreat with the Federal forces and is compelled to evade capture and probable execution by overzealous Confederates. Weak and wounded, he encounters Henry, a local slave, who takes him to an abandoned cabin to nurse his wounds. James shows Henry his Freedom Papers in an attempt to inspire Henry to help him return to his unit. Henry finds it foolhardy to think they could evade the entire Confederate army and doubts even if they succeeded and he was freed, his social status would not be much improved. With news of nearby Confederate soldiers looking for stragglers, Henry must decide between his pragmatism and the great (but dangerous) potential that James has offered him. Exhibiting production values far beyond what might be expected from its micro budget, Ocean Pond is a captivating study of historical social issues still of relevance today, nestled within a wartime cat-and-mouse chase.
